Downsizing Companies: Please Don't Trash Our FutureIf your business is downsizing, please don't throw your leftover materials in the trash. Local charities can use all types of items that would otherwise go into a landfill. Check the Items Needed list below to connect with a charity that asks for similar items. If all else fails, contact the Wishbook team at wishbook@rochester.rr.com with a general list of your items and we will try to help find a home for them. |
ITEMS
NEEDED
Have an Item to Donate? Here's Who Needs It!
Click on the item category below to see a listing of agencies that have
requested specific items.
Hint: Once you are in the right category, use your browser's FIND key (usually in the Edit menu) to zero in quickly on your item.
Then click on the agency name to go directly to the
agency's page, which lists the contact person, email address, telephone number, and
details on the items needed.
Call or email the contact person at the agency to make arrangements for delivery
or pickup of your item.
| Donated items should be clean, useable, and in good or very good condition, with no missing pieces or pages (puzzles, games, books, etc.). Clothing should be clean, and not torn or stained. When in doubt, call the charity. Thanks for your help. For items that cannot be donated, Monroe County recycling guidelines are provided at www.monroecounty.gov/des-residentialrecycling.php. Near the bottom of that web page is a link to recommendations for recycling Non-Blue Box Program Materials. |
