The YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County is a powerful resource for women and girls in our community. Today, our programs focus on providing support for pregnant and parenting teens and their babies, and on offering a continuum of housing for women in need, including those of all ages and family situations

Because of limited storage, we regret that we can accept only NEW items. Please call to make arrangements before dropping off donations.
- baby and toddler items: diapers, baby wipes, clothing and pajamas for infants and children sizes newborn to 5T; diaper bags, strollers, high chairs, baby carriers, car seats, bassinets, cribs
- baby bedding: crib rails, crib sheets, bassinet sheets
- bedding and towels: twin-size sheet sets, comforters, blankets, and mattress pads; bath towels, washcloths
- children's toys, books, coloring books, crayons, games
- first-aid kits
- gift certificates: grocery stores, shoe stores, maternity stores, book stores, movie theaters, live performances, children's museums, etc.
- household items: pots, pans, dish sets, cutting boards, commercial-grade frying pans
- infant formula (all varieties - unexpired, please)
- personal hygiene items: soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, conditioner, lotions, shower gel, razors, feminine hygiene products (Please, NO mouthwashes or medicines such as Tylenol, etc.)
- pocket/day planners and wall calendars
- powdered laundry detergents
- school supplies: 3-ring binders, spiral notebooks, pencils, colored pencils, notebook dividers, backpacks, calculators, loose-leaf paper
- smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- tickets to athletic events, circus, concerts, etc.
- used cell phones to recycle as part of a national fundraising program
- women's clothing: unopened packages of socks and women’s underwear (all sizes), large night gowns, slippers
- Adopt-A-Family donors ( individuals or groups) to donate holiday gift items for women and children: 1 to 3 gifts for each "adopted" family member
Volunteers Needed
Are you interested in helping women and families in our community? Do you have a skill or special talent you want to share? The YWCA is looking for volunteers to help in many capacities, including serving as mentors for the women and girls we serve.
