The YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County has been a beacon of help and hope for local women and families since 1883. Today, our programs focus on providing support for pregnant and parenting teens and their babies, and on offering a continuum of housing for women in need of all ages and family situations.

- Adopt-A-Family donors ( individuals or groups) to donate holiday gift items for women and children: 1 to 3 gifts for each "adopted" family member.
- alarm clocks
- appliances: microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners
- baby clothes (new or gently-used)
- baby items: strollers, high chairs, diaper bags, baby carriers, car seats (new), cribs (new), bassinets (in good condition)
- books: including children's, parenting, or books in Spanish
- cameras, single-use
- children's toys and games, coloring books, crayons (new, for gifts)
- clothing for children and infants (sizes newborn to 5T)
- diapers and training pants, all sizes
- first-aid kits
- gift certificates: book stores, shoe stores, maternity stores, grocery stores, movie theaters, children's museums, etc.
- household items: pots, pans, dishes, etc.
- personal hygiene items: soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, conditioner, lotions, shower gel, razors, feminine hygiene products
- pocket planners
- school supplies: 3-ring binders, spiral notebooks, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, notebook dividers, backpacks, calculators, loose-leaf paper
- smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- tickets to circus, ball games, etc.
- used cell phones to recycle as part of a national fundraising program
