  • 05/07/10: Charles Settlement House has updated their Wish List. (Added lawn mower, snow blower, guitars, musical instruments, expanded Internet access)
  • 05/06/10: St. Peter's Kitchen has updated their Wish List. (2-door shelved metal cabinets have been added.)

  • 05/04/10: Bridges for Brain injury is now accepting donations of gently-used, clean household goods, small furniture & appliances, children's clothing & toys for their June 12-13 Garage Sale. Please call (585) 396-0070 before dropping off items (Location: 5297 Parkside Dr, Canandaigua).
  • 05/03/10: Center for Youth has updated their Wish List, (Backpacks & cinch bags are especially needed.)
  • 05/03/10: Mercy Outreach Center has updated their Wish List, adding helmets, bikes and scooters for ages 3-8.
  • 05/01/10: SPECIAL NEED: Catholic Family Center's Refugee & Immigration Services needs mattresses and kitchen items (pots & pans, silverware, etc.) for a few families in need.

• 03/31/10: SPECIAL NEED: Open Door Mission urgently needs cough drops, bathroom tissue, and paper towels. They have also updated their Current Needs list. Donations are gladly accepted 24/7 at their Caring Center, located at 156 North Plymouth Avenue.
• 03/23/10: SPECIAL NEED: Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS) has a client who is in desperate need of living room furniture and a mattress. It could be a chair, couch, love seat, basically anything that is relatively clean. If you can help, please contact Heather Rickett at Catholic Charities Community Services: (585) 339-9800 x378.

• 02/22/10: ABVI-Goodwill has added a tractor unit for a tractor- trailer truck to their Wish List.

• 02/22/10: SPECIAL NEED: Greece FISH (Friends in Service Here) urgently needs volunteers willing to give up one day a month to drive the elderly and disabled to medical appointments, or to handle phone duties.  Please call 453-2370 if you can help.
• 02/02/10: Community Lutheran Ministry has added handyman skills needed for building repairs to their Volunteers Needed List.
• 02/02/10: AIDS Care: AIDS Rochester and the AIDS Community Health Center have merged to form this new organization. Contact information has been updated.

• 01/04/10: St. Peter's Kitchen has updated their Wish List to add a portable (cordless) phone system with 2 or more phones and an answering machine. Also, if someone has talent in flower arranging, they could use 12 small floral arrangements for their dining tables.
• 12/26/09: SPECIAL NEED: Swimmers needed by CP Rochester to work in a heated indoor pool to assist children, weekdays 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. This session runs during the school year and is located at 3399 Winton Road. • 11/25/09: SPECIAL NEED: Saint Joseph's House of Hospitality needs Volunteers to help staff the night shelter. Will train. Can sleep on the job! Plenty of choice hours. Good supervision.  Call Tom at (585) 232-3262.

• 11/18/09: Hilton Parma Emergency Food Shelf needs 4-6 shopping carts, and has updated other items on their Wish List.
• 11/05/09: Open Door Mission partners with Burlington Coat Factory’s “Warm Coats + Warm Hearts" campaign and ABC’s ' "Good Morning America" in a ten-week coat drive. Drop off gently-used warm coats at Burlington Coat Factory’s two Rochester locations: SouthTown Plaza or Greece Ridge Mall until January 15, 2010.

Location: Barnes & Noble in the Webster Towne Plaza, Holt Road across from Wegmans.
