5th Annual "Open That Bottle" Night (OTBN) - Bivona Child Advocacy Center
Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Locust Hill Country Club.
OTBN was created in the late 1990s by John Brecher and Dorothy Gaiter, who write a wine column for the Wall Street Journal. They had noted that many people would buy special bottles of wine, store them in their homes or wine cellars and never open them because they were deemed “too special” for almost any occasion. Dottie and John thought that once a year people should get together with their friends and “open that bottle”. They designated the last Saturday in the month of February as the day and OTBN was born. Dottie and John have a very loyal following, the concept caught on quickly and all around the country people are hosting OTBN parties.
Join us with 10 of your friends at Locust Hill Country Club on Saturday, February 27th, for a fun-filled evening while enjoying your favorite wine! Tickets are $150 per person.
The night will focus on wine, food, travel and sports and include the following:
- A silent auction and wine tasting during cocktail hour
- Dinner and Open That Bottle – Each couple will bring a bottle of wine to open and share with their table
- A live auction featuring 15-20 elite items and special packages
