South Bristol Cultural Center is an active multi-arts center. Our facility is a renovated pre-Civil War era barn which contains a gallery/gift shop, a performance hall/exhibit space, and a classroom/art studio. Programs have included classes for children and adults in a variety of arts disciplines, concert series highlighting local musicians, art exhibits, travel talks, and outreach art programs to schools and in partnership with the Salvation Army.

Publicity

Post flyers on community bulletin boards.
Fax event information to Finger Lakes Visitor Connection.
Call on prospective business and corporate sponsors/members.
Assist with organizing fall barn sale & fundraiser in October.

Administration

Maintain membership records, help with mailings, thank-you notes, fund drives.
Update web site monthly.
Update gallery inventory binder monthly.
Help with newsletter design and mailing.

Volunteer Coordinator

build volunteer base, match people with activities, oversee rewards annual meeting.

Events

Take tickets at Music in the Barn events, also setup or cleanup.
Oversee refreshments at Music in the Barn events and Featured Artist Receptions.
Assist with Art at the Barn Festival.

Gallery Sitting

Duties include answering phone, customer service, light cleaning in gallery, possibly some administrative work. (Gallery is open April-December, Tuesdays-Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and some evenings.)

Grounds

Gardening jobs such as mulching, weeding, spraying weeds in driveway, etc.
General cleaning inside: floors, bathrooms, dusting.
