The Salvation Army - Rochester Area Services includes the following programs:
- Project ReDirect, assisting homeless individuals and families in securing employment and safe, appropriate housing
- Youth Enrichment Services, including after-school and summer programs
- Homeless Shelters (4) for men, women with children, and for runaway and homeless youth

Emergency & Family Services, providing material assistance, rent/mortgage help, prescription vouchers,
and case management
- Seasonal Services, including the Christmas Toy Shop, Adopt-A-Family, and Project Bundle-Up, which provides warm
winter clothing for children

Volunteers
Individuals and groups welcome. Please call or email for information.
College Internships for Men, Women, and Youth Shelters, Development, Emergency & Family Services. and Project Re-Direct (Sunday through Saturday; flexible scheduling), if available.
Food Services: assist with food preparation, serving and room setup, store-room maintenance, general cleaning duties, and unloading truck deliveries.
Maintenance: maintain grounds and building in a state of cleanliness, perform janitorial duties, snow removal, painting, minor repairs. Some heavy lifting.
Finance: various accounting duties.
Special Events: Golf Tournament (July), Project Bundle-Up (September); Christmas (November - December)
Seasonal Events (November - December):
Toy Shop distribution, Bell Ringers, Bell Ringer scheduler, Angel Tree gifts, receptionist.
Professional volunteers to provide groups for clients. Appropriate education & backgrounds in Budgeting, Anger Management, Parenting; cofacilitate a Men's Domestic Violence Group.
