Volunteers Needed

Visit our web site at www.pprsr.org/volunteer or call (585) 546-2771 x338 for details on volunteering. A limited number of internships are also available. An application process is required for all volunteer and internship applicants.

Clerical: perform varied clerical duties. Position is available in multiple communities.

Booth Representative: staff the agency's booth at community events. Engage visitors in conversation to educate them about Planned Parenthood's services. Distribute relevant pieces of literature, legislative information, and giveaways.

Clinic Escort: offer patients and visitors support when coming to the clinic on Saturday mornings. A friendly face and the distraction of talking with someone while approaching the clinic helps patients feel comfortable and minimize the stress they might feel in response to demonstrator activities.

Data Entry: enter data into a computer database.

Graphic Design: design various marketing, clinical, and communication materials in collaboration with the marketing department.

Rape Crisis Service: provide emotional support, information, and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and their families. (New volunteer roles have been added. Please call for details.)

Special Events: assist in any of the agency's special events activities. May include clerical, planning, preparation, or implementation of tasks related to the special event.

Student Organizers (VOX): Pro-choice student activists wanted to launch campus groups on local college campuses. Requires the ability to lead, recruit, and organize student volunteers to build coalitions with other campus groups and plan fun and education events.
