MDA is striving to find treatments and cures for 43 neuromuscular diseases,
while working to improve the quality of life for those individuals served by
our programs. Provides services to thousands in the Greater Rochester/Finger
Lakes area who are affected by neuromuscular diseases.

- adaptive equipment: e.g., walkers with seats, wheelchairs up to 5 years old (manual and electric), Hoyer lifts
- office equipment: mail folding machine, laminating machine, refrigerator, bookshelves
- office supplies: copy paper (regular, legal, and ledger sizes: all colors), paper clips, rubber bands, markers, pens, Post-it notes, scissors, glue sticks
- printing services, donated, for banners and large signage at events
- camp supplies: coloring books, crayons, games, wood scraps for crafts, snacks, bottled water & drinks, small giveaway items for carnival day
- donated items for camp: such as movie passes, sporting event tickets, gift cards, gift baskets
Summer camp is conducted in June at the Rotary Sunshine Camp in Rush, NY.
Volunteers Needed
Events: greeters, photographers, promoters, and general assistance for year-round programs.
Camp counselors: one-week, one-on-one buddy system, overnight residential camp in June for children
ages 6 through 17 with muscular dystrophy.
Office assistance: folding, stuffing, filing.
