Comfort in Crisis is a faith-based agency. Our mission is to reach out to families or friends regardless of belief, with loved ones in critical-care units, long term or terminal units (e.g., cancer or hospice centers. Each family receives a gift bag filled with personal-care items as a symbol of love and hope while their loved one is being cared for. A Caregiver's Guide is also provided, with suggestions for dealing with stress, talking with the medical staff, and caring for oneself. We are funded by individual donations, both cash and items for gift bags.
