The organization was established in 1984. Under contract with the County of Monroe, we are responsible for the repair, restoration,
and security of the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse and grounds. We educate the public
regarding the historical Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse, the Village of Charlotte, and the marine history in the area.
Local historical research, education, and outreach are supported by our all-volunteer
organization. We are a not-for-profit organization and therefore donations are
tax-deductible.
