Part of an international pregnancy support service, our chapter has offices in the city of Rochester, Pittsford Plaza area, Brockport and Geneseo. Birthright’s purpose is to foster love and respect for both the mother and baby, to help her not feel pressured into an abortion. Each woman is treated with kindness and respect, as well as personal attention to her unique situation.
We offer free, self-administered pregnancy tests, if needed; a sympathetic ear, and ongoing friendship and emotional support throughout the pregnancy and up to baby’s first birthday. Childbirth classes, emergency formula and diapers are available to those in need. Our Birthright volunteer staff has been trained to locate and share information and referrals for legal, medical, infant furniture/equipment, adoption, financial, housing and education/job training needs. All services are free and confidential.
With the help of generous donations of our community, we provide maternity clothes, layettes for newborns and infant clothing.
