Mission: to prepare and empower people who are blind or visually impaired
to be self-sufficient and contribute to their families and communities. ABVI-Goodwill
provides a full range of programs, services, job opportunities, and career training
for people who are blind or visually impaired in the Greater Rochester and Finger
Lakes areas.

Volunteers Needed
Doctors to provide eye exams for people who are uninsured and underinsured.
Drivers to transport people to and from medical appointments.
Shoppers to provide personal grocery shopping services.
Readers to provide weekly or bi-weekly personal reading services.
Assist with short-term office/clerical projects (seasonal).
Help at one-day events such as Scouting for Food and Clothing Drive and the Annual Celebration fundraising event.
Adults to assist at monthly recreation events.
Assistance with vision screenings for children ages 1 to 5.
Flexible schedules, and long- and short-term opportunities are available.
